So I was coming back from Wagga after a minor operation, and I needed a coffee and a feed. I hadn’t eaten since 8 the previous day, and it was now around 1:30 pm the next day.
So we stopped and had an obligatory smoke, yes I know that is so not PC these days.
We strolled into the Coolonmon Cheese Co. and my partner ordered me a double shot (yes she knows my order without asking these days).
I believe that the roaster that they use is Seven Rivers Coffee. The shot turned up with a great crema, which was a start. The taste was a mixture of sweet and bitter. There was no burnt taste at all, which is not always the case with a store-bought coffee
I followed this down with a good old Eggs Benedict and that was divine as well, a mountain of bacon and what looked like a sourdough bread (toasted) and two perfectly poached eggs with just the right amount of an in-house hollandaise sauce. Delish.
Look to be honest, I can not fault this establishment. Sol, if you’re passing through, drop in and don’t forget to try the cheeses and grab a couple for that Friday night cheese board
